Gunshot: Final Task

Here is the final product of the opening sequence for my movie Gunshot. My partner and I worked really hard on it. I hope you enjoy!

Filming Day at the Beach

On Thursday, December 2nd I started filming with my group. Finding days to start the filming process was extremely difficult for my group. I have work on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. So, my group  and I could not film the sunset at the beach on the weekend. Aja has volunteer work on Monday and Wednesday, and work on Friday. Ashley has to go on Tuesday's to Lacrosse practice and works on Wednesday's. With my schedule I could have filmed any day during Monday-Thursday. However, my other team members had the exact opposite schedule from me. On the weekend I only had Saturday and Sunday mornings available. My group and I decided to film the sunset at the beach on Thursday as that was the only night everyone had available. Final Touches: Editing Blog

After all the clips were put together for the final opening sequence, it was time to move on to the next part of editing. This included the music, visual effects, sound, and the titles. I gave my opinion and suggestions while my partner was editing. The first idea that came into my mind was that instead of only using one song for the entire song, another one should be included. This is for the scene where I am chased by the villain and end up dead. In this scene I was thinking that a creepy song should be used for the diegetic sound. After searching on YouTube Aja and I found creepy royalty-free music. The next part that was worked on was the sound effects. This included foley effects. For example, footsteps were recorded for the scene where I was running in the beginning and ending. This was done with platform heeled boots and a concrete ground. It turned out very nicely. Planning Blog: Other Information

  Location- We will be filming in a few different locations . At the beginning of the film, we will be shooting outside of a school. It will most likely be at Sunrise Middle School, since we cannot shoot at our own school without permission. We also plan on shooting near a railroad of some sort since they have a creepy feeling. Most prominently, we will be filming at an abandoned location, most likely an abandoned complex near Pompano Beach.   Participants- The main actors will be myself and my partner Sophia. We will also ask some of our friends and family to be extras and to play dead bodies or civilians. Sophia and I will play two high school students who will discover the building with the bodies in it. Filming will also be me and Sophia. We will mostly have to prop up the camera or film each other individually. Editing will mostly be me. Since I am a bit more tech smart, I will do the editing for this final project.
