Production blog: Recruitments

 Before the filming process starts actors would need to be gathered to participate. I asked each of my friends if they would be free on a specific day of the week. The days scheduled for filming were March 12 and 13, and March 15 and 16. The only days that actors were needed were for the abandoned building scenes. They needed to play as dead bodies and one needed to be the villain. Originally mutual friends were asked to participate including Kayla, and Ashley. Furthermore a villain was needed so a mutual friend Elena was asked. I thought she would be good to play the villain role because she had already an outfit that would go really well with her character. Later on Kayla let me know that she couldn't actually participate in the filming on that specific day. So Aja and I tried to see if some days could be moved around. However my partner and I both have very tight schedules as mentioned in my other blogs. So this made it very difficult to find a new date to film with Kayla. None of them were good so my partner and I decided to stick with the original one. This means that Kayla would not be able to film. Other actors needed to be scouted since one of them could not participate. I asked Aja to ask around to see if other people could join in the filming. I wasn't comfortable with asking people I didn't know very well so it was very difficult to find new actors. I wanted to ask some of my other friends if they could participate including ones that were already in my class. However most of them were busy on the weekend with filming too. I tried asking my friends Cece and Taylor but they would have to check their schedules and get back to me; if they don't work out I could resort to using Aja's sister as an actor or a personal friend.
